Introduction of Research
Gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH), follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), and luteinizing hormone (LH) are essential for vertebrate gonadal function, but their expression and function have been revealed to be different among vertebrate lineages. I am interested in experimentally comparing the genomes of various organisms to determine when and how their expression and function changed during evolution, and what genomic changes caused these changes.
